How to report illegal content, what happens next, and how to appeal a decision.
1. The platform's role
Bazin is an online marketplace. It stores and displays content provided by its members and does not generally verify it before publication.
This notice explains the mechanism the Digital Services Act requires: a way to report, a reasoned decision, and a route to challenge it.
2. Reporting content
Any person may report a listing from the listing page. The form asks for the address of the content, the ground of the report and an explanation. You do not need an account to read the policy, but a report is attached to an account so that the decision can be sent to you.
A report about a criminal offence may also be sent to the competent authority. The platform cooperates with orders it receives.
3. Examination and decision
A report is examined by the moderation team. The decision may be to take no action, to withdraw the content, to restrict its visibility or to suspend the account.
The seller concerned is informed and may reply with evidence before a withdrawal becomes final where the situation allows it.
4. Statement of reasons
A decision that restricts content states the facts relied on, the ground, whether the decision was taken automatically, and the route to challenge it. The record is kept so that the decision can be reviewed.
5. Appeal
A seller may appeal a withdrawal from the seller workspace. An appeal is a new case linked to the first decision, examined by a different person, and it suspends the finality of the restriction while it is open.
A person who reported content is informed of the outcome of their report.
6. Transparency
The platform keeps the number of reports received, the number of decisions taken and the number of appeals, and publishes them in its transparency reporting.
Nothing in this notice creates an obligation to monitor all content.
Your rights where you live · France
Bazin applies the mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence in the European Union or the European Economic Area. No clause in these documents can reduce those rights. The seller is the person named on the listing: Bazin is not the seller.
- 14-day right of withdrawal
- For a distance contract you generally have 14 days from delivery to withdraw without giving a reason. Goods made to your specification or clearly personalised, such as an alteration or a piece adjusted to your measurements, are excluded from that right.
- Legal guarantee of conformity
- A professional seller is liable for the conformity of the goods for at least two years, and for two years a defect is presumed to have existed at delivery (Directive (EU) 2019/771). A private seller does not provide that statutory guarantee unless the listing states otherwise.
- Seller status and notices
- Every listing states whether the seller acts as a trader, as required by Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services (DSA). Unlawful content can be reported from its page; the decision is reasoned and the affected seller has an internal appeal route.
- Personal data (GDPR)
- You exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability from the privacy centre. You may also lodge a complaint with the independent supervisory authority of your country of residence.
- Consumer disputes
- You may turn to a consumer mediation body or to the European Consumer Centre (eccnet.eu), without giving up the courts competent for your home.
