What a seller undertakes when a piece is put on the shelf.
1. Opening a seller account
Selling requires a confirmed email address, acceptance of the seller rules in force and an account in good standing. The account must be yours and the payment account must be in your name.
A professional seller must declare that status and provide the trader information required by the DSA.
2. Listings and photographs
A published listing must carry at least one photograph of the actual item and a description that does not omit a defect. Measurements are recorded from the piece itself.
A listing found to misdescribe an item is withdrawn, and repeated findings suspend the account.
3. Commission and fees
The commission is the percentage shown before publication. The buyer protection fee is borne by the buyer and is not deducted from the seller.
The amount paid to the seller is the item price less the commission, plus any shipping the seller is owed.
4. Shipping
The seller ships within the handling time declared on the listing. A parcel past its send-by date is escalated to the platform and to the buyer.
Where the platform provides a label, the seller uses it. Where the seller arranges delivery, the seller declares a tracking reference.
5. Payouts and escrow
The money is released to the seller fourteen days after delivery when neither a return nor a dispute is open. A payout can only be requested once the funds are released.
A payout needs a verified payment account. A refused transfer returns the amount to the seller's balance.
6. Returns and disputes
The seller honours the return window declared on the listing. While a return or dispute is open, the money stays in escrow.
The seller answers a dispute with evidence: photographs, carrier documents, correspondence inside the platform.
7. Tax and DAC7
The seller is responsible for declaring the income from their sales. The platform reports to the tax authority the sales and amounts of a seller who crosses the DAC7 thresholds in a calendar year.
A seller may read their yearly volume in the seller workspace.
8. DSA trader information
Where a seller acts as a trader, the listing shows that status and the identity and contact details the seller declared. A seller who does not declare trader status when the law requires it is suspended.
The platform records the declarations it receives and the decisions it takes.
9. Suspension and termination
A seller may close their account at any time; open orders, returns and disputes survive the closure until they are resolved.
The platform may suspend a seller for a breach of these terms. The decision is motivated and can be appealed.
